The new TAKUMI München
About This Spot
Stepping into The new TAKUMI München feels like discovering a thoughtful corner of Tokyo tucked away in the heart of Munich. The modest storefront along Gabelsbergerstraße invites you in with an unpretentious warmth, a place where the pace slows just enough to savor each bite and conversation. Here, the hum of friendly chatter blends with the comforting clatter of bowls and chopsticks, creating an atmosphere that’s lively without ever feeling rushed.
This intimate ramen spot draws you closer not only with its inviting aroma but with its spirit of genuine hospitality. The staff’s openness to guide you through their menu adds a subtle kindness, making each visit a personal discovery rather than a routine meal. Whether it’s your first bowl or a return to a beloved favorite, you can feel the care in how each dish is presented — from the rich, nuanced broths to the thoughtfully prepared vegetarian options.
There’s a quiet pleasure in watching a steaming bowl arrive, the harmony of flavors unfolding gradually, inviting you to slow down and connect. Alongside their ramen, small touches — like a well-poured Kirin Ichiban or a delicate Daifuku dessert — offer moments of balance and contrast, deepening the experience beyond just food. It’s easy to settle in here, listen to the soft background flow, and appreciate the unspoken invitation to savor simple, heartfelt fare.
For locals and visitors alike who find themselves craving a genuine taste of Japanese ramen culture, The new TAKUMI München offers a grounded, welcoming space where food is a shared journey rather than just a quick stop. Its charm lies in thoughtful details and an atmosphere that encourages taking time—to eat well, feel connected, and simply enjoy the moment.

Ramen do have flavour, i would say choose the special, it was great. Their chicken karage was yum. Staff were great there, they explain the menu if you have any doubts. And this place is first come first serve basis. Take your time and enjoyy the ramen

Great Ramen for this part of Europe! Broth was spiced appropriately and service was attentive. I'd skip the karaage - its pretty bad.

Super impressed to have found this amazing ramen-ya outside of Japan, it was actually very delicious! And they even have my favorite kakiage which is not always available at overseas Japanese restaurants! 10/10 and would totally recommend!

Absolutely amazing experience! The service was fast and flawless, and the staff made me feel truly welcome. The ramen was incredible — even better than in Japan — rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Can’t wait to come back!
